i see myself in the mirror and ask
everleigh - others It was no surprise that fifth year was more difficult than fourth, but Everleigh hadn't realized how quickly it would hit. It was only the beginning of October, and she already couldn't wait for Christmas break; at least then she could go home and not have to worry about prefect duty's for a bit... As long as her parents didn't decide to go away from the holidays, because she didn't really feel like going home to an empty house (though she knew her cousin would say just to spend the holidays with them, but... it wasn't the same. And would end with Joonyoung trying to make her eat more than she wanted to, more than she could really.)But for right now, it was the first Saturday of October, and she had homework to do. And as much as she loved her common room, she needed a bit more quiet, so, library. She almost didn't expect to get a whole lot done though, simply because it was potions, and she didn't really want to work on it right now. She was supposed to be making notes, and she was mostly just doodling on her paper. If she thought it would be helpful, she'd head to the Slytherin or Ravenclaw common rooms, see if Rylen or Azriel could help, but Azzy was a fourth year, and Ry was likely to laugh and say he needed help too; potions were not their strong point. Azzy would probably be more help, honestly, but Ever didn't entirely feel up to going all the way up to the Ravenclaw common room (even though it was only two floors. Knowing her luck, she wouldn't get the riddle right or Azzy would be busy.) Sighing, Everleigh shoved her papers aside, and lay her head on the table. Mostly she just wanted to sleep, but it wasn't that late, and she had to do rounds later that night, make sure the younger students weren't out after curfew, which means she couldn't sleep until after. It wasn't even dinner yet for Merlin's sake. Part of her wished she'd hadn't been picked as prefect. Of course, she liked being prefect, mostly (the prefect bathroom was a huge plus honestly) but it was tiring. If it was like this now, she didn't even want to think about how seventh year would be. Ry was lucky. She'd say Azzy too, but really, he could get picked as prefect next year. Not likely, because this was Azriel Dongbang after all, the kid who couldn't match his shoes half the time, but still. Lifting her head from the table, Ever pulled her papers back, straightening them up before rising from the table. Sadly, her text book wasn't going to cut it for this paper. At least looking for books would be something to do that wasn't doing research and writing notes for a bit. If only a little bit. |
